1994 Full Professor of the Low Temperature Physics Chair, Physical
Department, V. N. Karazin KhNU.
Research
area: Condensed Matter Physics. List of publications
Is
specialized in the field of the low
temperature physics of normal and superconducting
metals, and
the physics of crystallization of
the amorphous substances (glasses). Has elucidated the nature
of the
thermal resistivity of the
metal-insulator boundary. On the basis of these
findings has predicted a number
of new effects in
metallic films at low temperatures. Has
developed a theory of the non-stationary
nonlinear dynamics
of the thermal switching waves
in homogeneous and non-homogeneous
superconductors.
The theory of the quasistationary
explosive decay within the frameworks of the
thermal wavefront
bistability for
the configurationally frozen metastable substance states has
been formulated for
the first time.
Has considered a wide field of
problems of the non-linear anisotropic vortex dynamics in
superconductors
in the presence of a planar pinning
potential, and in the case of its competition with a point-like
disorder.
All the investigations have
been closely connected with experimentalists carrying out the
appropriate experimental
research, in particular, with researches
from the Low Temperature Physics Department, V. N. Karazin KhNU;
Kharkiv Insitute of Physics and
Technology; B.
I. Verkin Insitute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering;
À.
Usikov Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics; Johannes
Gutenberg-University Mainz;

for Theoretical Physics, NSC-KIPT.
Member of the Specialized Scientific
Council of the B. I. Verkin Insitute for Low Temperature Physics and
